Star Trek: Discovery Mid-Season Finale: Has the Show Finally Found Its Feet? | Gadget Magazine

With an episode high on action, mystery and intrigue, Star Trek: Discovery – the latest addition to the five-decade-old franchise, airing on CBS All Access in the US and available on Netflix in India and around the world – closed the lid on the first chapter of its maiden voyage. The show will return with its second half of six episodes in almost two months’ time, on January 7. Panasonic EX600 4K HDR Smart LED TV Review | Gadget Magazine

Panasonic has been making some interesting choices with regard to its TVs. It sold some of the best plasma panels all the way up to 2014, long after all other companies had moved on to LCDs. With 4K HDR TVs now becoming mainstream, Panasonic has recently launched its EX600 range of in three sizes: 43, 49, and 55 inches. The latter two models come with a bundled wireless wireless home speaker, the Panasonic SC-UA7.

It runs Firefox OS, has loads of apps in its library, and supports common HDR formats including HDR-10 and HLG. It’s priced at Rs. 1,41,000, which seems a bit high for a 49-inch LCD TV, even if it does offer a bundled speaker. Does its performance justify the price? That’s what we sought to answer through our review process.

Panasonic EX600 design and connectivity

The Panasonic TH-49EX600D looks simple enough from the front, with a small frame, and the Panasonic logo with a power…

You ready for flying taxis from Uber? | Engadget Today

I'm about that Jetsons life.

At a speech at the Web Summit in Lisbon, Uber's head of product Jeff Holden revealed the company has signed a Space Act Agreement with NASA to create the air traffic control system that will manage its low-flying taxi fleet, which it aims to have in the air by 2020. The company also announced that a third test city, Los Angeles, has been added to the program, joining Dallas-Fort Worth and Dubai. According to Uber, its UberAIR service could compress a one and a half hour journey from LAX to the Staples Center during rush hour to under 30 minutes.

The Calculator app on iPhones with iOS 11.1 isn't working properly

The calculator in iOS 11.1 isn't working. If you enter a simple equation, like 1 + 2 + 3, it doesn't give 6 as the answer.
Instead, it shows 24.

The app isn't registering the "+" sign fast enough. It does work if you type very slowly.

Since you can't totally rely on the calculator app right now, there are a few things you can use instead. You can either use the search bar or Google. You can even use a calculator app from the app store.

Hopefully, Apple will issue an update soon. Until then, be wary of answers the calculator gives.
